Bloodstock Insurance
All Risk Mortality
Pays the owner of the horse in the event the animal dies or is euthanized (by a qualified licensed veterinarian) for humane reasons as a result of an accident sustained or an illness or disease contracted. Post Mortem is an absolute requirement.
Restricted Perils
Pays the owner of the horse in the event the animal dies or is euthanized (by a qualified licensed veterinarian) for humane reasons as a result of a Specified Peril named in the policy, (i.e. fire, lightning, transportation.) Additional perils can include rabies, loading/unloading, external accidental, animal birth. Post Mortem is an absolute requirement.
Equine Surgical Endorsement
Must be written in conjunction with an All Risk Mortality policy. This coverage provides for reimbursement for the cost of anesthetic, surgery, post surgical expense while at a veterinary clinic or hospital for major surgery performed under a general anesthetic following accident sustained or disease or illness contracted by the Insured animals.
Medical Plus Surgical
Must be written in conjunction with an All Risk Mortality policy. This coverage provides for reimbursement of reasonable, necessary and customary fees incurred on an insured animal for surgery or medical expenses, that a licensed equine veterinarian deems medically necessary, due to an injury, illness, medical condition or disease.
Prospective Foal
Pays the owner in the event of a prospective foal not being born alive (as a result of being aborted or stillborn) or if born alive, against dying or being humanely euthanized (by a qualified licensed veterinarian) within the policy period from an accident sustained or illness or disease contracted.
Stallion Infertility
Must be written in conjunction with an All Risk Mortality policy. Pays the owner of the stallion in the event the animal becomes permanently impotent, infertile or incapable of serving mares as a result of an accident sustained, or an illness or disease contracted.
Livestock Insurance
We also offer All Risk Mortality Insurance, Specified Perils and Infertility on Bulls and All Risk Mortality Insurance and Specified Perils on Cows.
